In my own words - recent podcast interviews

With ebullient US wine podcaster, Matthew Horkey in the garden of a German hotel in September 2024

In July 2024, with Australia-based, Brazilian-born Priscilla Hennekam who is trying to ‘Rethink the Wine Industry’

With US podcaster, Juliana Colangelo, in Spring 2023

With leading Romanian wine authority, Marinela Ardelean, in February 2024

In interviews like these, I talk about

How people buy wine in the same way they buy clothes - emotionally rather than ‘rationally’

How we need to stop banging on about the need for ‘education’
And that wine tourism is not THE answer.
And nor is storytelling, or anything else.

They're all tools, and what any wine business needs is not one tool.
It's a toolbox full of implements that solve a particular problem that applies to one wine and one set of potential customers.

I talk about wine marketing being like doing a jigsaw: each wine is a piece

The challenge is to find where it fits. And my le $12 French varietal le Grand Noir will certainly not fit in the same place as my $39 Georgian K'AVSHIRI
